The LockT project’s Cloud Access platform is built on a secure, high-availability cloud architecture designed for reliability and performance. It operates across two physical production servers behind a load balancer that distributes requests in a round robin fashion. Each server runs Ubuntu with Nginx and PHP-FPM, processes only JSON based API requests, and synchronizes critical configuration, certificates, and site files between nodes using automated file-sync services. All LockT servers reside on a private network accessible only via OpenVPN, ensuring that management and system-level access are tightly controlled and isolated from the public internet.
Multi-Tenant, Instance-Aware Application Design
CloudAccess is embedded within the LockT Portal Platform and uses a multi-tenant data model that securely separates customer data by tenant while further segmenting information by logical access-control instances. Every request is stateless, authenticated and processed independently, improving scalability and reducing cross-session risk. This architecture allows LockT to serve multiple customers, locations, and access-control environments from a single platform while ensuring that each tenant can only retrieve or modify its own authorized data.
Flexible Access-Control Integrations and Feature Management
The LockT project supports multiple access control technologies through modular integrations, including Dormakaba SwitchTech, Dormakaba EVO LZ, and Nexkey, with the ability to add additional providers over time. Feature availability, capacity limits (such as doors, users, and credentials), and location based management are centrally configured through the LockT Admin Portal. As a result, each customer’s Cloud Access interface, features, and capabilities can be dynamically tailored, enabling LockT to deliver a highly customizable, enterprise-ready access control cloud platform.
